Service Description
This is the start to traditional Shito-Ryu Katate. The older the student is the more will be required of them. The primary goal of this program is to teach the students the basis, age appropriate self-defense, kata, kata no bunkai (the interpretation of the kata) and basic sparring techniques. The class includes warmups, Kihon (basics), Kata, theme of the week, and an activity applying what they learned during class. 4 One Rules, rank specific kata, demonstration of kata no bunkai, self-defense, age-appropriate fitness and Japanese terms. As rank increases the students will be required to demonstrate what they have learned in the past and/or advance technique.
